“False, Malicious, Defamatory” – Trump Demands Unsealing Of Epstein Files, Threatens Lawsuit After WSJ Hit Piece

The Wall Street Journal reported that Donald Trump allegedly sent a provocative birthday letter to Jeffrey Epstein, with a drawing of a naked woman and suggestive language. Trump denies writing the letter and vows to sue the newspaper if they publish the story. The letter was part of a book compiled by Ghislaine Maxwell in 2003 to celebrate Epstein’s 50th birthday, which also included letters from other prominent figures. The authenticity of the letter is disputed, and Trump has directed Attorney General Pam Bondi to pursue the release of grand jury testimony related to Epstein’s prosecution. The story has sparked controversy and accusations of fake news from Trump and his supporters. This week, in an interview with the Journal, Dershowitz stated, “It’s been a long time and I don’t recall the content of what I may have written.” He has consistently denied accusations of engaging in inappropriate behavior with underage individuals provided by Epstein and has called for the release of documents to demonstrate his innocence.

Trump, on the other hand, claimed that his friendship with Epstein came to an end around 2004 after a disagreement over a bidding war for a Palm Beach property, which Trump ultimately won. In 2008, Epstein pleaded guilty to state charges related to procuring a minor for prostitution, but controversially avoided federal charges through a non-prosecution agreement. Following Epstein’s more significant arrest in 2019, Trump remarked, “I knew him like everybody in Palm Beach knew him. I was not a fan of his, that I can tell you.”
