Trump Did It: Wasserman Schultz Accuses The President Of Causing The Shooting Of National Guard Members

Authored by Jonathan Turley,

Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-FL) has often been a controversial figure, known for pushing boundaries in her defense of various causes. From attacking journalists to attempting to influence elections, she has never shied away from making bold statements. However, her recent comments blaming President Donald Trump for the shooting of two National Guardsmen take her rhetoric to a new low.

During an appearance on CNN’s “News Central,” Wasserman Schultz suggested that President Trump’s decision to deploy military troops in cities may have contributed to the shooting incident. She questioned why the President did not consider alternative approaches and criticized his handling of the situation.

While there are valid concerns about the deployment of National Guard personnel, it is important to note that the mayor of Washington, D.C., has been involved in the coordination efforts with the Administration. Additionally, Washington, D.C., has strict gun control measures in place.

Wasserman Schultz’s remarks drew sharp criticism, with many pointing out that she was quick to blame the President without considering other potential motives for the shooter’s actions. The father of one of the slain Guardsmen even criticized the Biden Administration for the incident.

It is crucial to wait for the investigation to determine the shooter’s true motives before making any definitive conclusions. Jumping to conclusions based on political biases only serves to undermine the gravity of the situation and dishonor the victims.
