Oklahoma Governor Kevin Stitt has issued a State of Emergency following a massive wildfire that has spread across the panhandle region of the state and into Kansas. The Ranger Road Fire alone has burned 145,000 acres, part of a total of about 156,000 acres scorched by four wildfires in the northwest region.

The Oklahoma Department of Agriculture has provided updates on the wildfires, with the Ranger Road Fire remaining uncontained at 145,000 acres. Governor Stitt has called for support and prayers for the affected communities and first responders.

Storm chaser Jaden Pappenheim shared a drone video showing the aftermath of the Ranger Road Fire in Beaver County, where the fire has destroyed homes and injured firefighters. More than 5 million people across multiple states are under red-flag warnings due to elevated wildfire risks.

The article also highlights high-value energy infrastructure assets near the wildfires or in areas with high wildfire risk. There is concern about potential damage to Oklahoma’s cattle industry, a critical part of the U.S. beef supply chain.

Overall, the situation remains critical as authorities work to contain the wildfires and protect the affected communities and industries.
