Delta One Upgrades Its Food and Amenities

Delta Air Lines is enhancing the menu and service in Delta One, its lie-flat business class cabin, with changes set to be introduced as early as November 2026. This will give passengers a preview of the upgraded service before the new Delta One suites, scheduled to launch in 2027.

Some of the highlights include a new Delta One burger and roasted sea bass entree, extended meal pre-selection window, and the return of Bombas socks on select routes.

Delta One is offered on specific domestic and international flights, with fares often exceeding $2,000 or 200,000 Delta SkyMiles for routes like Los Angeles to New York. However, booking through partner airlines may require fewer miles.

I had the opportunity to sample some of the new meals and amenities before their official launch on transoceanic Delta One flights departing from Los Angeles in November 2026.

Here’s a glimpse of what Delta One passengers can expect as the rollout expands to other cities.

Delta collaborated with renowned chef Simon Hulstone to elevate the Delta One menus with a “Michelin mindset.”

Among the new offerings is a wagyu beef burger with caramelized onions, cheddar cheese, and cornichons, which has already gained popularity in Delta One lounges. The roasted sea bass was a personal favorite, delivering a tender and flavorful experience.

Additional menu items include risotto, braised lamb, beef short rib, macaroni and cheese, salads, and a chicken salad croissant. The drink selection will also expand with the addition of Blanton’s Kentucky bourbon, Japanese Dassai sake, and new cocktails like the paloma and Hugo spritz.

Delta is introducing more customization options for Delta One passengers, including lighter bites, gluten-free meals, and an extended 18-hour window for pre-selecting meals.

Passengers can now opt for a quicker meal service to prioritize sleep, offering a cup of coffee and a croissant instead of a full breakfast before landing.

Kristen Manion Taylor, Delta’s senior vice president of brand experience, emphasized that luxury now includes personalized experiences and ample choice alongside quality.

Starting November 3, 2026, Delta One will introduce a new winter collection of Missoni amenity kits featuring Grown Alchemist skincare, a Marvis dental kit, and an eye mask. Select routes will also provide exclusive Bombas socks and an additional “cuddle” pillow for enhanced comfort.

These upgrades build on Delta’s substantial investment in its fleet, including redesigned Delta One suites on A350-1000 and refreshed A330-200/300 planes. The new suites offer lie-flat seats in a 1-2-1 configuration, providing every passenger with aisle access and ample storage options.
