Shiba Inu Lead Pushes Web3 Solutions like Shibarium in Response to CrowdStrike Global Outage

Shytoshi Kusama, the mysterious leader of the Shiba Inu ecosystem, has taken advantage of the recent CrowdStrike global outage to promote Web3 solutions like Shibarium in order to decentralize critical infrastructure.

On July 19, a widespread technology failure caused chaos by grounding flights, disrupting payment systems, and interrupting healthcare services. It even blocked access to Microsoft services, marking it as one of the most catastrophic IT failures in history, according to experts.

The root cause of these disruptions was eventually linked back to a faulty software update released by CrowdStrike, a cybersecurity firm that serves various industries. This flawed update wreaked havoc on Windows-operated computers, leading to widespread tech failures around the world.

Reaction from Shiba Inu Lead

In response to this incident, the Shiba Inu team has seized the opportunity to emphasize the importance of decentralization. They are advocating for a shift away from centralized services towards more resilient, community-driven solutions.

In a recent statement on X, Kusama expressed his concern that the extensive impact of a single faulty update underscores the necessity for a new global operating system.

The leader of Shiba Inu believes that the world requires a system that does not rely on a central authority, but rather embraces decentralization and utilizes Web3 technologies designed to withstand such disruptions.

Furthermore, Kusama mentioned that the ongoing situation is precisely why the Shiba Inu team encourages people to “Treat Themselves” during their global tour.

He emphasized that the tour is not just about promoting tokens but rather focuses on shifting from the traditional Web2 standard to a more engaging level that offers security and innovation for customers, stakeholders, and individuals.

Kusama’s Proposal of Web3 Solution: Shibarium

Kusama highlighted that the decentralized network of innovators and enthusiasts within the Shiba Inu community has been actively developing solutions during the bear market to mitigate the impact of events like the recent global outage.

Notably, the Shiba Inu team introduced its native blockchain Shibarium in August 2023, which has gained significant adoption in less than a year with over 417 million transactions and an average block time speed of 5.0 seconds.

Additionally, Shibarium has formed key partnerships to enhance the global tech landscape. In April, the Shiba Inu team collaborated with the Content Delivery and Security Association (CDSA) to address AI-driven content challenges for members like Apple, Amazon, and Netflix through Shibarium.

As the world grapples with the aftermath of the CrowdStrike infrastructure failure, the Shiba Inu ecosystem aims to lead the conversation in advocating for a Web3-powered future.
