Donald Trump’s 2024 Campaign Focuses on Immigration Control

One of the main pillars of Donald Trump’s 2024 campaign was the strict control of foreign elements entering the United States. Public opinion strongly supported closed borders, deportation of illegal migrants, and removal of disruptive migrant elements who had received visas and green cards during the Biden Administration. However, the political left has been resistant to accepting this majority view, continuing to interfere with efforts to clean up the migrant situation using various tactics.

The issue of constitutional legality has been a point of contention. Those who previously sought to silence dissent on Covid mandates and vaccines are now championing the free speech rights of non-American citizens and green card holders. In a recent case, an immigration judge in Louisiana ruled in favor of deporting Mahmoud Khalil, a legal permanent resident and graduate student at Columbia University, who was detained for his involvement in violent protests against the war in Gaza. The judge deemed Khalil a national security risk, despite him not being charged with a specific crime.

The leftist media argues that Khalil’s rights are being violated and point to his green card status obtained through marriage as a basis for protest rights. However, it’s important to note the oppressive regime in Gaza, where protesters face severe repercussions for speaking out against Hamas.

While immigrants have free speech rights, the government reserves the right to deport individuals deemed ideological threats. The Immigration and Nationality Act of 1952 allows for the exclusion of foreigners based on political ideology, giving the Trump Administration authority to remove individuals, even those with green cards, if they pose a risk.

The left contends that outdated laws and civil rights advancements render such actions obsolete. However, in the current political climate, stringent immigration laws are essential to prevent the infiltration of disruptive elements into the country.

The left’s tactics of using civil liberties as a shield for disruptive activism and promoting third-world immigration mirror classic Marxist strategies. The blending of various activist movements with the Palestinian cause illustrates the opportunistic nature of the woke movement.

While concerns of governmental overreach persist, establishing boundaries for migrant behavior is crucial in preserving societal norms and security. Not every foreigner is entitled to the same rights as native-born Americans, and immigrants should respect the rules and values of their host country.

Ultimately, maintaining a balance between immigration policies and civil liberties is vital in safeguarding national interests and upholding societal norms.
