Aventus, a blockchain infrastructure provider for enterprise applications, has announced the launch of a node sale for Aventus Cloud. This new initiative enables individuals and organizations to operate network nodes using their available computing resources.
Aventus Cloud is specifically designed to offer decentralized computing for applications that run on the Aventus network. Nodes within the network have the capability to process and validate various network activities, such as oracle data, state summaries between chains, and custom logic. Operators who meet the eligibility criteria can earn network rewards for contributing their computing resources.
The company has plans to release up to 40,000 node licenses, with more than 2,500 licenses already in use. The current Genesis Tranche is priced at $1,755 per license. Aventus emphasizes that the purchase of these licenses is considered a software license rather than an investment, and buyers are required to comply with KYC (Know Your Customer) requirements.
Aventus functions as a nonprofit Decentralized Autonomous Organization (DAO) governed by AVT token holders. The network operates on Substrate and is interconnected with Polkadot. Its infrastructure is designed to provide new appchains with access to decentralized computing without the need to build their own operator network.
