Back in August 2019, around the time when Democrats were preoccupied with the first fake impeachment scandal, Donald Trump initially proposed the idea of purchasing Greenland from Denmark.
At the time, the mainstream media dismissed the idea as another one of Trump’s outlandish schemes, portraying it as a reality show episode rather than a serious geopolitical move. However, there were valid historical and strategic reasons behind Trump’s proposal to acquire Greenland and free it from European colonialism.
Trump’s unconventional approach to problem-solving, such as proposing a border wall and reclaiming Greenland, was highlighted in an article I wrote for RealClearPolitics in August 2019. This approach, based on common sense and intuition rather than political expediency, set him apart from traditional politicians.
The concept of acquiring territory for national security reasons is not new, as evident from historical events like the Louisiana Purchase and the acquisition of Alaska. Trump’s assertion that Greenland is essential for national security aligns with past strategic land acquisitions made by the United States.
Trump’s interest in Greenland was also driven by concerns over Chinese and Russian ambitions in the region, as both countries have expressed strategic interest in Greenland’s resources. Trump’s focus on safeguarding American interests and countering foreign threats resonated with his supporters.
While some may view Trump’s plans for Greenland as far-fetched, his track record of defying expectations and making bold decisions has earned him respect on the world stage. His presidency has already made significant waves internationally, signaling a shift in global dynamics.
Time magazine featured an essay by Ray Dalio, a prominent hedge-fund manager critical of Trump, discussing the potential impact of a second Trump administration on domestic and world affairs. Despite their differences, Dalio acknowledged the transformative effects of Trump’s leadership and the evolving geopolitical landscape.
China and the United States are set to compete for allies, with China having the upper hand due to its economic importance and effective soft power tactics.
However, if you are looking for a leader who can restore American dominance, Donald Trump is the man for the job. His ability to exert soft power is unparalleled, evident in his social media presence and press conferences that have already sparked significant discussions. Imagine what he can achieve once he takes office.
It’s not just me who sees the potential in Trump. Both Republicans and Democrats are taking him seriously.
Sen. John Fetterman, a Democrat from Pennsylvania, even suggested that the U.S. should consider acquiring Greenland, drawing parallels to the Louisiana Purchase.
Meanwhile, MAGA superstar Charlie Kirk, along with Donald Trump Jr., visited Greenland to explore the possibility of Making Greenland America Again.
Sharing his experience with his vast YouTube audience, Kirk praised the people of Greenland for their resilience and desire for a better future.
As Trump prepares to take office, the real work begins. While the outcome of acquiring Greenland remains uncertain, one thing is clear – with Trump’s persuasive skills, the idea of Greenland becoming the 51st state is more feasible than Canada.
