peaq, the layer-1 blockchain for DePIN and Machine RWAs, has announced a collaboration with LayerZero, an omnichain interoperability protocol for EVM blockchains.

peaq and LayerZero Join Forces for Multi-Blockchain Collaboration

Before its full-stack public launch, DePIN-centric blockchain peaq has partnered with LayerZero, the largest interchain ecosystem providing access to over 80 blockchains of various types.

This collaboration allows DePINs on peaq to seamlessly connect with and access liquidity across all supported blockchains, expanding their presence and access in the Web3 space. This access will be essential for growth, exploring synergies, onboarding new users, and fostering collaborations beyond the peaq ecosystem.

Kenny Zhang, Ecosystem Growth Lead at LayerZero, expressed excitement about the role of DePIN and peaq in driving the next phase of Web3 disruption:

The DePIN sector is shaping a new course for Web3, and peaq is at the forefront of leading DePIN blockchain technology. DePINs will benefit greatly from wider Web3 access, enhancing their ability to bridge Web3 with real-world value through the versatility of DeFi. We are thrilled to offer this capability to DePINs built on peaq.

peaq has always been dedicated to an interoperability-driven Web3 vision, with peaq IDs (self-sovereign machine identities) being compatible with various chains like Ethereum, Solana, and BNB Chain.

The integration with LayerZero is a significant step towards achieving this vision, enabling DePINs on peaq to tap into billions of dollars in Web3 liquidity and data, as well as interact with thousands of applications across multiple networks.

Enhanced Liquidity Opportunities for Tokens on peaq’s DePINs

Leonard Dorlöchter, cofounder of peaq, emphasizes the platform’s focus on interoperability as a key advantage for all DePIN apps within its ecosystem:

We believe that interoperability is a crucial advantage of Web3 over Web2. For DePINs, the ability to exchange data and liquidity with any dApp in Web3 is a powerful multiplier, giving them a competitive edge over Web2 incumbents. The LayerZero integration provides DePINs on peaq with this edge, connecting them to the broader Web3 and solidifying peaq’s position as the hub of DePIN technology.

LayerZero enables decentralized applications to be omnichain, facilitating data exchange through its messaging protocol across different networks. It serves as a centralized hub for DePINs on peaq to communicate with omni-apps throughout Web3.

Through LayerZero, DePINs on peaq can list their tokens on top decentralized exchanges, interact with DeFi protocols, and engage with various Web3 platforms, enhancing their reach and connectivity within the ecosystem.
