Flowra launches Open Orderflow Auction for Solana validators

Flowra has recently launched its innovative Open Orderflow Auction for the Solana network, introducing a revolutionary block-building system that allows registered participants to compete for transaction inclusion. This new framework aims to open up Solana’s MEV market to a wider audience while giving validators more control over blockspace and revenue from MEV.

Flowra’s Open Orderflow Auction is designed to bring transparency and competition to the block-building process, enabling registered searchers to bid for transaction inclusion in an open auction format. This shift from closed orderflow channels to a competitive bidding system is expected to improve price discovery in Solana’s MEV market and help validators maximize their revenue.

The company’s framework not only enhances price discovery but also helps validators capture more revenue by allowing them to participate in a transparent auction for blockspace allocation. Flowra has made the Open Orderflow Auction accessible to validators and searchers, with plans to onboard institutional-grade validators in the near future.

Transforming Solana’s MEV Competition

Flowra’s auction model disrupts the traditional approach to transaction inclusion by introducing open bidding for blockspace access. This new system is expected to create a more competitive environment for transaction inclusion and enable validators to benefit more from the value generated by MEV.

Flowra’s framework focuses on improving transaction transparency, value distribution, and incentive alignment among validators, users, and builders within the Solana ecosystem.

Increased Block Activity through Early Testing

Early results from testing Flowra’s setup on a single validator show promising outcomes, with a 20.6% increase in compute units per block. The validator also achieved higher block fees compared to other similar software, showcasing the effectiveness of Flowra’s approach in optimizing block production.

Flowra’s testing demonstrated 100% block production and 99.999% block engine uptime, setting a solid foundation for further expansion of the Open Orderflow Auction to institutional-grade validators on Solana.

Empowering Validators with Programmable Block Policy

Flowra has introduced the Programmable Block Policy alongside the auction, allowing validators to define transaction inclusion policies at the block-building layer. This feature enhances operational flexibility for validators and enables them to address regulatory or compliance requirements without impacting the underlying Solana protocol.

The collaboration with compliance infrastructure provider Honeypot further strengthens validators’ control over block construction, ensuring transparency and auditability in the process.

Inspired by Ethereum’s Block-Building Model

Flowra’s architecture draws inspiration from Ethereum’s competitive block-building model, emphasizing transparent competition in the block construction process. By leveraging Solana’s high-throughput and low-latency design, Flowra aims to create a more efficient market for blockspace while empowering validators with greater control and verifiability.

Flowra’s CEO, Harry Hwang, envisions a more decentralized and efficient MEV market on Solana through transparent competition in block building, ultimately benefiting all network participants.

Flowra specializes in validator and order flow infrastructure for Solana, offering products such as validator infrastructure, delegation programs, and MEV-related technologies. The company’s mission is to support a more open and scalable blockchain network while improving value distribution among participants.
