The latest data from analytics firm Santiment reveals that Hedera (HBAR) has emerged as the top player in the real-world asset (RWA) sector within the crypto industry in terms of recent development activity.

Santiment has released its most recent RWA development rankings, which analyze significant GitHub activity over the past 30 days. Hedera has secured the top spot, surpassing other major projects in the sector.

“Here are the leading Real World Assets (RWA’s) in the world of crypto based on development. The directional indicators indicate the rise or fall in ranking of each project compared to the previous month:”

Chainlink (LINK) blockchain oracle secured the second position on the list, with Ethereum (ETH) layer-1 competitor Avalanche (AVAX) following closely in third place. Stellar (XLM), a blockchain platform focusing on payments, claimed the fourth spot. IOTA (IOTA) moved up to fifth place, while Chia (XCH) dropped to sixth. VeChain (VET), Lumerin (LMN), and Creditcoin (CTC) all saw improvements in their rankings, landing in seventh, eighth, and ninth place respectively. Injective (INJ) completed the top ten rankings after slipping one spot.

The analytics firm emphasizes that routine updates are excluded from their development rankings, focusing solely on significant GitHub events using a unique methodology. Santiment has previously highlighted that consistent and robust development activity can indicate active project development and reduce the risk of abandonment.
