MoneyGram, one of the world’s largest payments networks, has expanded its cash-to-crypto services to Solana through a single API for compliant conversions.
Solana has announced that the service is now live on the blockchain and integrated into the Solana Developer Platform payments module.
This integration offers instant API credentials, sandbox access, SDKs, and documentation without the need for any banking infrastructure or complex regulatory work.
Cash deposits are accepted in over 25 countries, while withdrawals are available in more than 170 countries and territories.
Rift, the first Solana wallet to incorporate the ramps, enables users to transition between crypto and local currency using MoneyGram’s physical and digital network.
This development broadens options for remittances, cross-border payouts, gig worker payroll, and aid distribution by linking onchain flows directly to cash locations.
The Solana Foundation is highlighting the global impact of this collaboration.
