Moonveil, a gaming-centric Layer-2 (L2) blockchain platform, has recently announced an upcoming node sale and received a $2 million investment from Polygon Labs. This exciting news was shared with Finbold on Thursday, October 10.

Beginning on October 22, 50,000 nodes will be available for purchase by the Moonveil community.

Polygon Labs Invests in Moonveil

Polygon Labs has invested $2 million in Moonveil, with $1 million specifically allocated to support AggLayer-integrated projects within the Moonveil ecosystem.

Utilizing Polygon CDK, Moonveil’s new L2 network integrates with AggLayer to enhance cross-chain capabilities, providing blockchain developers with new opportunities in Web3 gaming.

Marc Boiron, CEO of Polygon Labs, highlighted the importance of Moonveil nodes for Polygon’s future, stating:

“Moonveil’s innovative approach to Web3 gaming aligns perfectly with Polygon Labs’ vision for the future of blockchain. By backing Moonveil nodes, we are reinforcing our commitment to advancing the next era of gaming through ZK-powered technology and seamless interoperability, enabling true ownership and more engaging experiences for players.”

MJ, CEO of Moonveil, also emphasized the significance of the investment:

“This investment showcases the potential of our vision, illustrating the evolution of web3 gaming and its future direction. With the strong support from Polygon Labs, we can accelerate our mission to create a gaming ecosystem where players and developers can thrive. I believe our builder grants program will drive innovation and attract top talent to Moonveil.”

Moonveil Node Sale Details

The sale of Moonveil nodes will occur in two phases: a Whitelist Round on October 22, followed by a Public Round on October 24.

Users can secure a whitelist spot by engaging in various Moonveil events, including campaigns, Ask Me Anything sessions (AMAs), and partner activities.

Nodes will play a crucial role in platform decentralization, assisting in Data Availability, Proof Verification, and Transaction Sequencing.

Node activation is scheduled for Q1 2025, with 25% of tokens unlocking after the token-generation event (TGE) and 70% vesting over three years. The remaining 5% will be allocated for community rewards post-TGE.

The new Layer-2 network will support both first- and third-party games, leveraging ZK-powered technology to provide gamers with exceptional experiences.

Moonveil has also unveiled plans for an L2 testnet supported by Polygon CDK and AggLayer, facilitating faster and more secure Web3 gaming development.
