Stocks in Saudi Arabia closed lower on Sunday, with losses in various sectors leading shares down. The Saudi stock market declined by 0.33% at the close.
Among the top performers were Saudi Cable Company (TADAWUL:), which rose by 8.49%, Sumou Real Estate Company JSCC (TADAWUL:) with a 6.61% increase, and Walaa Cooperative Insurance Company SJSC (TADAWUL:) up by 3.45%.
On the other hand, the worst performers included Al Baha Investment and Development Company SJSC (TADAWUL:) with a 6.06% decrease, Riyadh Cables Group Company CJSC (TADAWUL:) down by 3.07%, and Almarai Company (TADAWUL:) declining by 2.29%.
The Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange saw more falling stocks than advancing ones, with 164 falling, 143 advancing, and 30 remaining unchanged.
In commodities trading, crude oil prices for January delivery rose, while Brent oil for February delivery increased. However, the February Gold Futures contract saw a decline.
EUR/SAR increased by 0.25% to 3.95, while USD/SAR remained unchanged at 3.76. The US Dollar Index Futures rose by 0.04% to 106.68.
