Top 10 Blockchains by Developer Activity This Week

Developer activity remains a crucial indicator of the blockchain network’s position, with Ethereum, BNB Chain, and Polygon leading the pack in terms of developer activity. According to data from Santiment, other notable blockchains include Solana, Cosmos, Arbitrum, Avalanche, Optimism, Harmony, and Gnosis, each showing varied performance.

Ethereum Dominates Weekly Developer Activity with 9.5K Events

Ethereum continues to lead in developer activity, although it experienced a 9.86% drop in activity over the past week. The platform saw a total of 9.5K developer activity events with 58 contributors, marking a 93.54% decrease in contributors.

BNB Chain emerges as the second most active blockchain, with 4.4K developer activity events, representing a 2.64% increase from the previous week. However, the number of contributors decreased by 93.31% to 32. Polygon follows closely with 3.6K developer activity events, showing a 3.04% increase, but with a significant 94.33% decline in contributors to 19.

Solana recorded 2.9K developer activity events, marking a 21.75% increase, and 20 contributors, a 93.29% decrease. Cosmos saw a 6.54% spike in developer activity events to 2.7K, but with only 7 contributors, a 97.12% decrease. Arbitrum experienced a 3.2% increase in developer activity events to 2.7K, with a 94.77% decrease in contributors to 15.

Gnosis Records 21K Developer Activity Events

Avalanche witnessed a 17.77% growth in developer activity, reaching 2.6K events, while the number of contributors decreased by 94.31% to 14. Optimism saw 2.4K developer activity events after a 4.65% decline, with a 95.37% decrease in contributors to 13. Harmony showed a 22.21% surge in developer activity events to 2.4K, while Gnosis reported 21K events with a 2.45% decrease.
