$XRP Branding Takes Center Stage at Florida Field
The University of Florida’s renowned sports program, the Florida Gators, recently unveiled a groundbreaking sponsorship deal with Ripple’s $XRP. The partnership, announced on September 4, will see Ripple’s branding prominently displayed at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium starting from the 2026 football season. In addition to stadium branding, the agreement encompasses digital properties and event signage for Florida Athletics, along with providing financial and technology education opportunities for student-athletes and the wider campus community.
Scott Stricklin, Athletic Director at the University of Florida, expressed excitement about the collaboration, stating:
“This partnership brings together two organizations that think boldly about the future, and we look forward to introducing $XRP to our fans.”
While the financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed, a report from the Associated Press mentioned an estimated annual value of $5 million for the sponsorship.

The NCAA Rule Change Opens Doors for New Revenue Streams
The sponsorship deal follows a recent rule change by the NCAA allowing commercial field advertisements during regular-season football games starting in 2024. Schools are now permitted to display one advertisement at midfield and up to two smaller ads elsewhere on the field, either through season-long agreements or game-specific arrangements.
Prior to the Ripple partnership, Florida had secured a field advertising deal with Geico for the 2025 season, with the insurer reportedly paying $1 million per game. The Ripple agreement marks a longer commitment as Florida progresses with its planned $1.45 billion renovation of the Swamp, set to be completed before the 2030 football season.
Ripple’s College Sports Campaign Gains Momentum
Following the Florida deal, Ripple continues to expand its presence in college athletics after recently partnering with the University of Kansas. This collaboration will see $XRP branding featured on Jayhawk uniforms across the university’s athletic program, marking a significant milestone in cryptocurrency sponsorship within collegiate sports.
Education is a key component of Ripple’s partnership with Florida, encompassing financial education and digital assets for students and athletes. Ripple has previously allocated $25 million towards educational initiatives in the US, supporting various projects and programs aimed at integrating blockchain technology into schools.
$XRP Continues to Expand Its Reach
In addition to its university partnerships, Ripple has been actively collaborating with startups to develop applications for the $XRP Ledger. Through initiatives like the accelerator program with the University of California, Berkeley, Ripple is fostering innovation across payment systems, tokenized markets, and more, showcasing the versatility and potential of the $XRP network.
$XRP stands as the native digital asset of the $XRP Ledger, a decentralized blockchain known for its speed and cost-efficiency. Florida’s partnership with Ripple not only brings cryptocurrency branding to football audiences but also integrates blockchain technology into university education and athletic advertising initiatives.
