On Friday, Mexico stocks closed lower with losses in various sectors leading shares down.
By the close of trading, the
Orbia Advance Corporation SAB de CV (BMV:) was one of the top performers, rising 3.28% to 19.22. Regional SAB de CV (BMV:) and Becle SA (BMV:) also saw gains of 2.52% and 2.07% respectively.
However, Gentera SAB de CV (BMV:), Grupo Mexico, S.A.B. De C.V. (BMV:), and America Movil SAB de CV M (BMV:) were among the worst performers, with declines of 2.91%, 2.87%, and 2.72%.
Overall, rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Mexico Stock Exchange, with 146 stocks gaining, 77 losing, and 13 remaining unchanged.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery fell to $2,691.30 per troy ounce, while Crude oil and Brent oil contracts also saw declines.
The exchange rates showed USD/MXN up by 1.99% to 20.19 and EUR/MXN rising by 1.20% to 21.65. The US Dollar Index Futures also increased by 0.43% to 104.81.
