Everything Is Russia’s Fault, Even Global Warming

Authored by J.B. Shurk via American Thinker

In the past, every problem in the world was attributed to “global warming.” Whether it was hot summers, cold winters, mysterious church burnings, or waves of immigrants entering the country, the blame always fell on global warming. Even the spread of COVID was somehow linked to this phenomenon.

However, in recent years, a new scapegoat has emerged – Russia. This new narrative has taken over the spotlight from global warming. From disinformation campaigns to election interference, high energy prices to border security issues, everything seems to be Russia’s fault.

Politicians like Andy Burnham in the UK are considering reversing decisions like Brexit, citing Russian interference in past referendums. Despite lack of evidence, the blame game continues, with Russia being held responsible for various political outcomes.

The Russia narrative is not limited to the UK. In the US, the Russia Collusion Hoax dominated headlines, with attempts to link President Trump to Russian meddling in the 2016 election. This led to a political scandal of epic proportions, yet the truth was largely obscured by the media.

Despite the lack of consequences for those behind the Russia Collusion Hoax, the narrative persists. Politicians like Adam Schiff push for online censorship under the guise of combating “Russian disinformation.” Blaming Russia has become a convenient excuse for a range of political failures.

From impeachment proceedings to canceling elections, the Russia blame game continues to shape political discourse around the world. It seems that whenever there is a problem, Russia is the easy target.

Who needs “global warming” when everything can be conveniently attributed to Russia?
