Alliant Cashback Card Slashing Rewards Rate to 1.5%

Effective November 1, 2025, the rewards rate for the Alliant Cashback Visa® Signature Credit Card will be reduced to 1.5% cash back on all purchases. This marks a significant decrease from the previous rate of 2.5%, which was available to cardholders who met specific criteria.

While the card is no longer accepting new applications, existing cardholders can continue to use it. Previously, these cardholders could earn the 2.5% cash back rate on up to $10,000 in spending per billing cycle by fulfilling the following conditions:

  • Maintain an Alliant High-Rate Checking account.

  • Subscribe to electronic statements.

  • Receive at least one monthly electronic deposit into the account.

  • Maintain an average daily balance of $1,000 or more.

Failure to meet these requirements would result in earning only 1.5% cash back.

Following this adjustment, the Alliant Cashback card no longer stands among the select group of no-annual-fee cards offering over 2% cash back on all purchases. If you desire such a rewards rate, your options are now limited to cards like the U.S. Bank Smartly™ Visa Signature® Card or the Robinhood Gold Card, each with its own set of requirements for earning higher rates.
