With the industry in a constant state of evolution, the growth of Gibson Sotheby’s International Realty highlights the stability and expertise that define the company, according to Larry Rideout, chairman, and founder.

By welcoming the Advisors Living team, Gibson Sotheby’s International Realty is expanding its reach and reaffirming its commitment to the communities it already serves. The acquisition reflects the belief that a combination of local roots and global resources enables agents to provide top-notch service.

In 2024, Gibson Sotheby’s reported sales volume of $3.29 billion, making it the leading Massachusetts-based real estate firm in terms of sales volume and boasting the highest average sale price among the top 10 brokerages in the state, as verified by RealTrends.

“The Advisors Living team is a perfect fit for our strategic growth across Massachusetts,” said Paul McGann, principal, and founder of Gibson Sotheby’s International Realty. “We are excited to support their success through the Sotheby’s International Realty network, connecting agents and clients globally and providing resources to elevate every aspect of their business.”

Established in 2001 by Jason Weissman, Advisors Living is the residential sales arm of Boston Realty Advisors, an independent commercial real estate brokerage and consulting firm. Merit McIntyre took on the role of president and CEO of Advisors Living in 2021.

“Advisors Living has always embraced a boutique culture, emphasizing close ties to communities and a personalized approach to supporting agents and clients,” McIntyre stated. “Partnering with Gibson Sotheby’s International Realty allows us to maintain that foundation of stability and local expertise, now fortified by the tools and global reach of a trusted brand. It marks an exciting new chapter for our team and the clients we serve.”
