(Reuters) – Li Haslett Chen, a member of the Warner Bros. Discovery (NASDAQ:) board and a member of the company’s Nominating and Corporate Governance Committee, will be stepping down from her positions, effective January 31, 2025, as disclosed in a regulatory filing on Monday.
Chen, who joined the board in April 2022, cited the need to focus more on her company, Howl, which is described as a new marketplace for social media creators and brands to collaborate.
“As Howl enters a major phase of growth in 2025, I have decided to dedicate my full attention to the company,” Chen stated on Monday.
Chen was not immediately available for comment.
Warner Bros Discovery is expected to appoint a new member to fill the vacancy on its board.
