UK Police Seize Cybertruck Illegally Driving Around Great Britain

Instead of focusing on the challenges posed by third-world migrants in the UK, law enforcement has redirected their attention towards confiscating a Tesla Cybertruck that has been deemed illegal for street use by the government.

A recent post on the Bury Police of Greater Manchester’s Facebook page revealed…

Officers from GMPTransportUnit stopped this Tesla Cybertruck in Whitefield last night. The driver was a permanent UK resident but the vehicle was registered and insured abroad which is prohibited in the UK. The Tesla Cybertruck is not road legal in the UK and does not hold a certificate of conformity. While some may view this as a minor issue, there are valid concerns regarding the safety of other road users or pedestrians in the event of a collision with a Cybertruck. The vehicle was subsequently confiscated under S165 of the Road Traffic Act and the driver was reported.

Here is the original post:

Autoblog Road & Track mentioned:

Registering a Cybertruck in Europe is extremely challenging (almost impossible). Some daring individuals have gone through the meticulous process of modifying lights, addressing its sharp edges, and passing inspection to get a small number of vehicles in compliance with regulations. However, the Cybertruck seized in the UK was not one of these modified vehicles.

A Facebook user commented on the post from Bury Police of Greater Manchester, applauding the police:

Great job, folks. You’ve significantly improved the safety of our country. I can no longer tolerate seeing Cybertruck owners driving around, committing theft from vans, stealing catalytic converters, vehicles, engaging in burglaries, drug trafficking, and so on…

Another user expressed:

Don’t you have more important matters to attend to? What if there’s an actual serious crime happening…

Given Elon Musk’s public criticisms of the Labour government regarding the grooming gangs scandal, will the Cybertruck ever be approved for road use in the UK?
