American Express recently unveiled its newest Centurion Lounge at Salt Lake City International Airport on Oct. 28, 2025. Situated in the expanded Concourse B, this marks the 31st Centurion Lounge in AmEx’s portfolio and the first lounge at the airport affiliated with a credit card issuer.

What sets this Centurion Lounge apart is its inclusion of a fireplace, both indoors and outdoors. The lounge is thoughtfully designed to reflect Utah’s natural wonders, featuring an outdoor terrace with breathtaking views and a recovery room catering to weary outdoor enthusiasts like hikers, skiers, and snowboarders.

The interior of the Salt Lake City (SLC) Centurion Lounge in Concourse B boasts an 18,000-square-foot space packed with traveler-friendly amenities. Highlights include a coffee bar staffed with baristas, outdoor seating, shower facilities, and a cozy Hearth Room centered around a 360-degree fireplace reminiscent of a ski chalet.

In addition to the lounge’s culinary offerings—a salad bar, chocolate chip cookies, and an ice cream cart—the buffet serves up restaurant-quality fare like lemongrass chicken and Earl Grey panna cotta. The lounge’s Blue Roast coffee bar and indoor bar provide a variety of beverage options, including a signature cocktail called the “Park City Sling.”

One of the standout features of the lounge is its outdoor terrace, complete with heaters, fans, and a second fireplace. The terrace offers a bar overlooking the tarmac and stunning views of the Wasatch Mountains, providing a unique space for travelers to unwind.

Other amenities at the Centurion Lounge include a shower room, a recovery room with massage tools, group seating rooms with televisions, workstations, and spa-like bathrooms featuring products from L’Occitane En Provence.

Overall, the SLC AmEx Centurion Lounge stands out as a premier airport oasis, offering a superior experience compared to other lounge options at the airport. While access may require a brief walk from other concourses, the lounge’s upscale amenities and cozy ambiance make it a worthwhile stop for travelers seeking a comfortable and relaxing pre-flight experience.
